Her photo “Huito” came in third place in the Duke Global Health Institute Photo Contest in 2017. It hangs in Trent Hall on Duke’s campus and is featured on the back cover of this year’s DGHI Impact Report. Huito, juice from the Genipa americana fruit, is used in villages in Manú National Park as insect repellent and dyes skin blue for several weeks.
